Eligibility:
Places on the listed training courses are open
to all colleagues working, volunteering or studying in the
Children’s Workforce in Lincolnshire.
Those staff, who work in an Ofsted registered
early years private, voluntary or independent setting in
Lincolnshire can apply for a username & password in order to
get the courses at a reduced cost. Lincolnshire County
Council is committed to ensuring that training is accessible for
this sector of the workforce.
Before booking:
It is essential that you fall within the
target audience of the course to ensure it is relevant to you and
aimed at the appropriate level.
Managers are asked to please check dates and
times of the sessions before booking to ensure that you or your
staff will be available to attend the sessions. The calendar that
you will be supplied with, is there for you to record training that
you have planned for you and your staff – if you make use of this
you will be able to see how many staff members you have out
training at any one time.
Booking:
Choose the course you would like you / your
staff member to attend, click on your chosen date, then add to
basket. When you view your shopping cart you will see what
you are planning to purchase - at this point you can delete a
course if you change your mind by clicking on the X at the end of
the summary or you can change the number of places you would like
to book (it automatically books just the one place), just type in
the box the number you would like and then click on the refresh
button (two arrows at the side) and this will update your
order.
If you are eligible for a discount (PVI
settings only) then you should have already logged in, if not you
should do this now as the price cannot be reduced beyond this
point. If you are a partner organisation within the
children's workforce then you should just continue to buy without a
log in as you will be buying the course at the price stated on
screen.
Pre-course information:
The applicant will receive an email requesting
they log in to the system and complete a pre-course information
form (approx 5 questions). This will ensure that learners
personal needs are met and learning expectations etc.. are known to

course, and it is expected that are able to stay for the full
duration of the course. Be ready to fully participate and

complete the post course evaluation (approx 8 questions) in order
to provide the Birth to Five Service an overview of your opinion of
the course content and delivery. The trainer will be able to
see an anonymous breakdown of comments so that they can adapt
materials that have not been beneficial and extend on areas that
were of most use during the course.
