Early Years Professional Status Network

Lincolnshire’s Early Years Professional (EYP) Network was established in May 2008 and has been going from strength to strength since.

The network meets regularly and welcomes EYPs and those on EYP pathways and includes people working in a diverse range of settings and roles, including Children’s Centre Teachers, Childminders, setting managers and setting staff. The wealth of experience brought by such a variety of backgrounds is at the heart of the network’s success.

The network was established to support newly qualified and growing EYPs.

The qualification was newly created and so brought with it a level of uncertainty with those who achieved it, raising questions about what it meant to be an EYP and how they could best use their skills to affect positive outcomes for children.

The network aims to support EYPs with these questions and work with them to ensure they are fulfilling their role of leading Early Years Foundation Stage practice.

If you are interested in finding out more about the network then please contact Jenny Boldrin at the Birth to Five Service.
