Lincolnshire - Children's Centre Teachers (CCTs)

There are currently fourteen Children Centre Teachers providing support in Children Centres within Lincolnshire. These teachers provide a range of flexible multi-agency services to meet the needs of young children and their families and support Centres in achieving the outcomes of Every Child Matters.

The main aim of each Centre is to provide high quality learning and full day care for children from birth.  Although flexible in approach, the services offered in each Centre may include integrated early learning, care, family support, health services, outreach services to children and families not attending the Centre and access to training and employment advice.

The role of the Children’s Centre Teacher includes:

  • Improving education and care for all children from birth to five
  • Building relationships with practitioners, children, families and other agencies
  • Meeting the individual needs of Children’s Centres and Childcare Settings
  • Supporting practitioners with the implementation of the EYFS
