Notification is a statutory requirement and every organisation that processes personal information must notify the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), unless they are exempt.  Providers are able to complete the online self assessment guide to determine whether they are required to give notification.
Notification is the process by which a data controller informs the Information Commissioner of certain details about their processing of personal information.
Failure to notify is a criminal offence.

This service aims to improve organisations and working life through better employment relations. It helps with employment relations by supplying up-to-date information, independent advice and high quality training, and working with employers and employees to solve problems and improve performance. 
Health Protection Agency  www.hpa.org.uk/  This agency provides useful info/factsheets/posters on infection control, most importantly ‘guidance on infection control in schools and other childcare settings’ which can be downloaded from the website.

The Citizens Advice Bureau www.citizensadvice.org.uk/  The Citizens Advice Bureau helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free information and advice.
HM Revenue and Customs www.hmrc.gov.uk/  HM Revenue and Customs provide parents with information about Child Benefits (how much they are entitled to claim, how they claim their entitlement etc)

Directgov www.direct.gov.uk/  Directgov is the website of the UK government providing information and online services for the public.  This provides information from across government departments and elsewhere on topics ranging from emergency school closures and parental leave to finding a job or a local NHS service.
The Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA)  www.isa-gov.org.uk/ The Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) has been created to help prevent unsuitable people from working with children and vulnerable adults.  It will do this by working in partnership with the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB), which will gather relevant information on every person who wants to work or volunteer with vulnerable people.
