The Three Billy Goats Gruff
I loved the story as a child. The idea of overcoming barriers to achieve what you want is quite inspirational, i.e. getting rid of the troll to get to the green grass on the other side. Although my childhood version had the troll running away in fear - I never liked the characters getting hurt!
We have read the story together, made troll masks and scrap material bridges and all manner of related ideas! We also used the computer program Clip Art to build a picture. We just loved acting it out in the school hall and shouting ‘’ Who’s that trip trapping over MY bridge?’’ in ever scarier voices!
