The Elves and the Shoemaker
As a young girl, I used to love to ‘read’ the pictures and observe the surprise on the Shoemaker and his wife’s face when they realised that the elves had been busy making the shoes for them during the night. As I slept, I often wondered whether these little elves would drop into my bedroom and make me a pretty, pink dress!
A super traditional tale to support and enhance Creative, Physical and PSRN activities. I have linked this tale to making shoes for dolls and teddies, threading and lacing activities, learning in a role-play shoe shop and matching and sorting shoes. A great book to bring old shoes to life!
