This book works on so many levels. It's fine for reading
to a whole group but just the right size for a small snuggly group.
A book to promote talk: the pictures contain so much more to
explore and discuss than is given in the text yet it starts
from a home based event that will be familiar to young
children. A wonderful book for promoting shared thinking and
wondering about issues such as sharing/not wanting to;
kindness/negative feelings, children's/adults feelings, inclusion,
families, friends as well as the more obvious mathematical
opportunities.
