SENCo Network Meetings

Network meetings for SENCos in Early Years settings take place twice a year.

Information will be distributed, informing Early Years SENCos of the meetings as well as details being available on this website.

The SENCo Network Meetings in for the Autumn Term 2010, will be held in November 2010. This terms meetings will focus on the Inclusion Development Programme (IDP) materials for Supporting children with Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties and copies of the IDP will be distributed.

Summer Term 2010
These meetings looked at ways of building inclusive and effective partnerships with parents. 

Spring Term 2010
This Term's Meetings focused on the Inclusion Development Programme (IDP) materials: Supporting Children on the Autism Spectrum.  Attendees received a copy of the IDP during the training session. Meetings covered some of the challenges which may be experienced by children with autism, and explored how the IDP can be implemented within settings to develop inclusive practice and support children.

Summer Term 2009
The Meetings looked at the Inclusion Development Programme (IDP) materials relating to support for children with speech, language and communication needs.  The IDP is a 4 year programme (2008–2011) and forms a part of the Government’s strategy for children with Special Educational Needs.
