National Autistic Society - Earlybird Programme

Earlybird is a programme for parents of children with a diagnosis of autism. It is a three month programme working with up to six families at a time.

Parents join together for eight group sessions which are held locally on the same day each week.

The programme enables parents to:

  • Understand their child’s autism
  • Develop communication with their child
  • Apply practical strategies to manage their child’s behaviour

Please share information regarding the Earlybird Programme with parents where appropriate.

National Autistic Society - Earlybird Plus Programme

The EarlyBird Plus Programme is designed for parents of children aged 4-8 years, with a diagnosis of autism. The programme enables parents to partake in the course, alongside a professional from their child’s school. The professional is chosen by the family and could be their child’s learning support assistant or class teacher. This promotes a positive and shared approach to supporting the child and family.
