'A Unique Child' is one of the
four complementary themes of the Early Years Foundation Stage. It
is broken down into four commitments which highlight the
importance of the child as an individual. This
theme reinforces the need for all aspects of provision to be
responsive to the needs of each child.

Experiences during the early years strongly
influence a child's future development. this means that the care
and education that babies and young children receive to support
their growth, development and learning must be of high quality and
appropriate to their individual needs. |
