Welcome to the Lincolnshire
Birth to Five Service Website

From this site you can access guidance and advice on developing high quality early years practice, as well as find out about a range of training opportunities. Our aim is to support the development of settings in order to promote excellent learning experiences for all young children in Lincolnshire, which has a long history of providing quality childcare and education. As a Service, we believe that the early years of a child’s life are vital. Children learn at such speed; devouring learning, delighting in anything new and relishing challenge and experimentation endlessly. Let us help them to learn.

The website has one clear purpose – to support teaching and learning in Lincolnshire Settings by presenting all practitioners throughout the county with information and resources to aid effective planning, observation, assessment and recording in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Over time, we hope to expand the range of information available, so, if you are a Foundation Stage Practitioner, please bookmark this page and visit this site again soon. This is your site, built to support Practitioners therefore if you have any ideas, are involved in projects, or have anything you would like to share with the Birth to Five Service, please click here to
let us know. It is important you give your name and setting details in any communication.

The Birth to Five Service would like to thank all the Lincolnshire Early Years Practitioners, Managers, Consultants, Trainers and Head teachers who have contributed towards the contents of this site.
